The 8 Steps for Admission

• A child must walk or take steps by himself before he can be considered for enrollment at THE LEARNING PLACE.

• Parents are encouraged to come for an initial visit to look around the school and speak to the Administrator. Tour Hours-9:00-10:00am(Monday-Wednesday), 11:30-12:30(Monday-Thursday)

• If Parents are satisfied and would like their child enrolled, they are requested to bring the child in for a prior assessment. This assessment is called a Play Date, and entails the child spending an hour in the classroom that is best suited to his age. He is assessed for physical, social and cognitive skills. His speech and emotional behavior are also observed. A Recommendation is then made as to whether or not he is ready for daily pre-school attendance.

Play date Times-9:00am-10:00am (Monday-Thursday)

• Parents are interviewed in order to establish their expectations and learn about what the school has to offer. It is always necessary for the Parents and the School to be unanimous regarding the development of the child.

• If both parents and the school are convinced of the readiness of the child, the parents are advised to buy a registration form, fill it out and return it with its accompaniments.

• A child gets on the Wait List either for the coming session, or for a space made available by the departure of an enrolled student only upon receipt of the above. (No.5).

• Parents are notified immediately an opening becomes available. In order to secure an open spot, parents will be requested to commit themselves to the opening by paying the enrollment fees.

• A child’s admission at THE LEARNING PLACE is considered confirmed when his complete registration documents, application fee and enrollment fee have been received by the school. Other fees are requested on or before the first day of attendance.

None of the charges listed above are refundable if the parent changes his mind any time after the session commences. If, however, a parent changes his/her mind before the session commences, all payments except the fee for registration and enrollment will be refunded.
